Contract (3-6 Months)

Principal Energy Group is currently looking for an Implementation Consultant with experience implementing and integrating trading systems (ETRM/CTRM) in enterprise environments. This position requires the candidate to have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a working understanding of commodities trading concepts and exposure to the following Microsoft technologies:

• .NET / C#
• T-SQL (Sql Server)
• XML/XSL

The candidate should have the following business-aligned skills and experience:

• 1 to 3 years experience in a commodities trading environment with exposure to North American power markets a plus.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle with participation or contribution a plus in capturing business requirements, drafting functional and technical designs, technical implementation of trading applications, drafting test plans and test cases, execution of functional end-to-end and integrations testing and production support hand-over.

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for assisting the implementing and integrating of an enterprise Trading and Risk Management software application within an enterprise trading environment. Activities include assistance in gathering and documenting requirements from business users and client technology staff, assistance drafting functional and technical requirements for systems integration, assistance with the development of custom interfaces between the ETRM solution and other trading software systems and assistance drafting test materials for technical and functional testing of the delivered solutions.

This position requires travel Monday through Thursday.
